Hotels Near Bangkok Airport: Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang

The hotel to book near Suvarnabhumi Airport is the Hyatt Regency, which you can walk to from the terminal. At Don Mueang, book the Amari, connected by a bridge walkway. For a very early flight or a long layover, these two beat anything that needs a van.

First check which airport you use, because they are about 50 km apart. Details below were checked on 6 November 2026 on hotel sites where possible. This page does not rest on first-hand visits. Shuttle terms change, so confirm with the hotel.

Near Suvarnabhumi (BKK)

Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is the top pick. It was the Novotel until 1 February 2025, and many listings, including the airport’s own page, still use that name. Hyatt describes it as a short walk from the terminal, under 300 metres from the Airport Rail Link station, with a free shuttle and a meet and greet counter by Gate 4 on the Arrival Level (2F). It has 610 rooms, a pool, a spa, a 24-hour gym and a 24-hour check-in and check-out option, which lets you leave up to 24 hours after you check in, whatever the hour. That matters on odd flight times. For a late arrival or early departure, walking to the terminal beats waiting for a van.

Siam Mandarina runs a free shuttle 24 hours a day. Meet the representative at Exit Gate 5 on the second floor. The hotel gives 15 to 20 minutes each way on the shuttle. It also sells day-use rooms: THB 800 for 2 hours, THB 1,100 for 3 hours, then THB 300 for each extra hour. For a long wait between flights, that is the simplest paid option here.

The Park Nine Suvarnabhumi on Lat Krabang Road has a free 8-seat van that runs on the hour. Seats are limited, so reserve by phone in advance.

Amaranth Suvarnabhumi has a free hourly shuttle: hotel to airport from 00:30 to 23:30, airport to hotel from 00:00 to 23:00. It will not run a slot with no reservation, so send your flight details ahead. Skip it if you are arriving without a confirmed time.

Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort and Spa is the resort choice, with golf and a spa, if you have a day to spare rather than only a few hours. Marriott’s pages describe a shuttle every 30 minutes from 00:30 to 24:00 with advance reservation, but they disagree on price: one says free and another THB 250 one way. Ask when you book. A transfer to Don Mueang is listed at THB 2,000 one way.

Inside the terminal

Miracle Transit Hotel is the option for those who cannot or do not want to leave the secure area. One detailed listing places it in international departures on Floor 4, Concourse G, past security, though other listings say Concourse A, so check. You can reach it only if you are in transit or departing internationally and already through security. Checked luggage is not accessible. Rooms are sold in blocks of 6 to 12 hours, with a deluxe room listed from THB 2,960 for 6 hours. We could not open the hotel’s own site, so confirm the rates and location with them first.

Near Don Mueang (DMK)

Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok at 333 Choet Wutthakat Road is the only hotel here with a walkway. The hotel lists the airport as 450 metres or 5 minutes on foot by overhead bridge. Room renovation continues until 30 November 2026, and the main connection is being upgraded. A temporary bridge has been open since 9 September, and a free round-trip shuttle runs 24 hours on request. Note that the same site’s FAQ still says the hotel does not provide airport transfers, so call +66 84 875 6551 to arrange pickup. Its FAQ describes the walkway from the second floor of Terminal 1, between gates 5 and 6, taking about 7 minutes. The hotel’s January notice named floors 4 and 5 for the new rooms, so ask for one.

Best Western Nada Don Mueang Airport lists a 24-hour airport shuttle with charges on its official page, while another site calls it free. Ask before you rely on either. Radisson and Mida are also near the airport, but we could only find their shuttle terms on third-party sites, so check them with the hotel.

Layover advice

• Short international connection: stay airside and skip immigration. Miracle’s shortest listed block is 6 hours, so it only makes sense for a longer wait.
• Overnight, or 8 hours or more: go landside to the Hyatt Regency, or Amari at Don Mueang. Allow time for passport control both ways.
• Leaving the airport at all: you enter Thailand. Non-Thai nationals must file the free TDAC, which opens 3 days before travel, and check the Thailand visa guide for entry rules.
• Switching airports: treat Suvarnabhumi to Don Mueang as a separate journey. Amari gives about 45 minutes by road for about 50 km, and 1 to 2 hours on the public shuttle bus, which runs hourly from 05:00 to 24:00. Never book a tight connection between the two.
