The best bar in Bangkok on the latest ranking is Dry Wave Cocktail Studio, No. 4 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026. Bar Us at No. 6 and Lennon’s at No. 7 follow, and Bangkok has eight bars in the top 50.

This page follows that 2026 list, published on 28 July 2026, because it is voted on and public. Plenty of good bars are outside it. We have not visited these bars, so the descriptions rely on The 50 Best and the venues’ own sites.

The 2026 ranking for Bangkok

The top eight

Dry Wave Cocktail Studio (No. 4). It opened in Thonglor in January 2024 under bartender Supawit “Palm” Muttarattana, and it also holds The Best Bar in Thailand 2026. The menu merges two classic cocktails from different eras into one drink. Pick it if you care most about the drinks.

Bar Us (No. 6). An almost all-black room with bartenders in white lab coats. The menu runs like a meal, in starters, mains and afters, and it won the Sustainable Bar Award in 2026. Pick it if you want something you will not find at home.

Lennon’s (No. 7). On the 30th floor of Rosewood Bangkok, inspired by a home recording studio, with over 6,000 vinyl records and a cigar lounge. It is open daily from 5 pm to midnight, smart casual, age 20 and over. Pick it for the most polished evening on this list. It also won the Highest New Entry Award.

Bar Sathorn (No. 17). A cocktail lounge in the historic mansion at 106 North Sathorn Road, now part of W Bangkok. It won the Highest Climber Award. Pick it if you like dark wood, leather and a sense of history.

BKK Social Club (No. 20). Inside Four Seasons, with a menu inspired by Mexico City. It is open daily from 5 pm to midnight, smart casual with no swimwear or sportswear, for guests aged 20 and over. Pick it if you are already staying on the river.

Opium (No. 25). The top two floors of a 120-year-old Chinatown shophouse, above the restaurant Potong. The menu has nearly 50 cocktails and mocktails, and the food comes from Potong’s kitchen. Pair it with dinner in Chinatown. See street food in Bangkok.

G.O.D (No. 31). A cocktail bar in a former cathedral, with graffiti on stone walls and live piano. BK Magazine credits Niks Anuman-Rajadhon and Attaporn De-Silva. The official list calls its Uni Martini a standout. Pick it for atmosphere.

Aqua Bar (No. 48). A new entry this year, in the courtyard garden at Anantara Siam, with water features and resident DJs later in the evening. Its menu leans to heat and spice. Pick it for a calm start in the Siam area.

The extended list

Four more Bangkok bars are in the 51 to 100 range. Vesper is at No. 56, down from No. 29 in 2025, and The 50 Best suggests it as a date bar. Messenger Service is at No. 69, from the Bar Us team. Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar is at No. 76. Firefly is at No. 78, in Sindhorn Kempinski.

How to plan a night

Bangkok’s traffic makes bar-hopping across town slow, so stay in one area.

• Thonglor: start at Dry Wave, then head to a club such as Beam. See best clubs in Bangkok.
• Riverside and Sathorn: BKK Social Club and Bar Sathorn. SilverKris puts them about 10 minutes apart by taxi.
• Central: Lennon’s and Aqua Bar are both on the Siam and Ploenchit side of the city.
• Chinatown: dinner, then Opium.
